We build the way an owner would
The studio
The Fambes Company began in 2015, out of a simple frustration: the people designing homes and the people building them rarely spoke to each other.
So we became both. Today we take on interior design commissions and full architectural builds, from a single kitchen to an entire property, with the same team carrying the project from the first conversation to the final walkthrough.
Our clients are families making a home they intend to keep, and developers who need a scheme that performs on the market. Both get the same thing from us: honest budgets, materials that last, and a finish that feels considered rather than decorated.
The founders
Daniel & Sofie
A husband and wife team. Daniel leads the build side — structure, trades, budgets and the discipline of getting a site finished properly. Sofie leads design, from spatial planning to the last material sample.
Between them, every project has one designer and one builder answering for it. It is also why our own standard is simple: we only specify what we would live with ourselves.
An owner's perspective
We have spent over twenty years managing our own property portfolio. We know which decisions cost money later, so we make them properly now.
Two traditions, one house
Scandinavian planning — light, storage, flow — married to Mediterranean materials: lime plaster, stone, timber, shade and air.
One accountable team
Designers, builders and suppliers under a single contract. No gap between the drawing and the site, and no one to point at.
Built for longevity
Eco-conscious materials and detailing meant to age well. A finished home should look better in ten years, not tired.
Materials
Chosen in person, never from a catalogue
Every palette starts on a table like this one: stone offcuts, timber samples, linen and wool, seen together in daylight. If a material cannot survive a family, a summer and a decade, it does not make the drawing.
